Pigment choice determines how the brows will look months (and years) later. You pigment choice determines how brows heal.

There are three main types of pigments used in PMU:
• Inorganic (iron oxides) – softer fade but can turn red/orange if too warm.
• Organic (carbon-based) – stronger retention but may heal cooler or darker.
• Hybrid blends – designed for more balanced, stable fading.

Brows usually turn red or orange because of:
✔️ Too much warmth in the base pigment
✔️ Poor undertone matching
✔️ Oily skin affecting retention
✔️ Low-quality or unstable formulations

To avoid unwanted color shifts, always assess skin undertone, choose balanced pigments, and use trusted, stable brands.
