Say hello to our temporary neighbour.
DCA International (also known as Trio Dental Clinic) is seeing their patients at 52 Craig Rd until their new premises are ready.

Dentalis and DCA/Trio are independent clinics, each responsible for its own dentists, patient care and operations.

Dentalis offers Invisalign®️.
DCA/Trio offers Dr Clear Aligners — a different aligner brand.

Good taste is often knowing when to stop.
We spend more time thinking about what to replace.
Not enough time thinking about what’s worth keeping.

Your teeth, as they should be.

The best time for a dental check isn’t during your holiday. It’s before it.

December brings two things together: year-end travel, and the deadline on a dental benefit that won’t carry into the new year. Most corporate and insurance benefits reset on the 1st of January — whatever’s unclaimed by the 31st of December simply lapses.

Sorting out your routine checkup now means one less thing to think about while you’re away, and a benefit actually used instead of left on the table.

Start marking the appointment on your schedule, not a last-minute one.

Every patient brings a different history into the dental chair. For Dr Chia Hao Yang, good dentistry begins with understanding that history before treatment starts.

Trained at the University of Adelaide, his experience across public and private practice in Australia shaped a calm, considered approach to care.

Listen first.
Explain clearly.
Give patients space to ask questions.
And make sure they understand their options before moving forward.

It matters with adults.
It matters even more with children, or patients who have spent years feeling uneasy about dental visits.

Dr Chia’s clinical interests span family, general and restorative dentistry, with particular interest in paediatric and prosthodontic care.

Because dentistry is not only about treating the tooth.
It is also about making sure the person in the chair feels heard, informed and comfortable with the decision being made.

Wisdom teeth don’t check your calendar before they act up.

They tend to make themselves known at the least convenient moment — a day before your holiday, a big event two days out, a work trip with no trusted dentist in sight. By the time it hurts, there‘s rarely a good window left to deal with it on your terms.

The only way round that is knowing your status well before you need to. At Dentalis, wisdom teeth are assessed on what a scan actually shows, not on whether they currently hurt — so a decision can be made on a quiet week, not forced by a bad one.

Some genuinely don’t need attention. Others are worth knowing about long before a trip or an occasion puts you somewhere you can‘t easily do anything about it.

Plan ahead, start with an assessment

Headaches that don’t respond to the usual explanations rarely get traced back to the jaw.

Tension in the temples, an ache along the jawline by evening, a neck that never quite settles — most people work through a mental checklist of screens, stress, and sleep before anyone considers occlusion, the way your teeth actually meet.

It’s not the first place symptoms like this get investigated. In our experience, it’s often one of the last.

An assessment of the bite isn’t a diagnosis on its own — it’s one input worth ruling in or out, alongside whatever else you’re already looking at.

Start with a conversation, not a commitment.

“I’ve told patients to leave my chair without doing anything.”
That’s also a recommendation.

Your teeth, as they should be.

People come back to the same chair.
But never quite as the same person.

“I got the job.”
“I’m opening my business.”
“I’m getting married.”
“We had a baby.”
“My daughter graduated.”
“I’m retiring.”

Dentistry gives us an unusual privilege: we get to know people in chapters.

Some visits are remembered for the treatment.

Others, for the news they brought with them.

The same chair. Different chapters.

And somewhere along the way, you stop feeling like someone who comes in for an appointment.

You become someone whose story we’re genuinely happy to hear.

Eight hours in bed. Still exhausted.
Persistent snoring can be one sign of obstructive sleep apnoea. Not everyone who snores has OSA — but if there are pauses in breathing, gasping, morning headaches or persistent daytime fatigue, it may be worth investigating.

Dentalis offers OrthoApnea NOA, an advanced custom mandibular advancement device worn during sleep to gently position the lower jaw forward and help maintain the airway.

Small. Custom-made. No mask or bedside machine. Ask our concierge for details.
