Dr Lennie Foo Lean Hong, Consultant, Periodontics Unit, Department of Restorative Dentistry was invited to 96.3好FM’s All About Health segment where she shared about the intergenerational consequences of a mother having poor oral health and the impact to her children and the importance of maintaining good oral health during pregnancy.

Dr Foo emphasised that good oral health during pregnancy is important for the mother's comfort and wellbeing, and it may also influence her child's future oral health.

Mothers with untreated dental disease can pass cavity-causing bacteria to their children, increasing the child's risk of early childhood tooth decay. The message underscores the need for pregnant women to pay attention to dental care and seek appropriate treatment for oral health issues.

NDCS recently came together to celebrate and honour our dedicated Allied Health Professionals consisting of NDCS’ Oral Health Therapists, Radiographers and Clinical Photographers from our Medical Illustration Unit.

We had the honour of having Adj A/Prof Tan Bee Yee, Group Chief Allied Health Professional, SingHealth grace the celebratory event alongside NDCS’ CEO CI A/Prof Goh Bee Tin, together they presented tokens of appreciation to the Heads of NDCS’ Allied Health Departments.

Thank you for all your efforts in the delivery of quality healthcare to all our patients.

𝗡𝗗𝗖𝗦 𝗢𝗥𝗛 𝗔𝗖𝗣 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 – 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆 🌿

Our Oral Health Academic Clinical Programme (ORH ACP) Education Day 2026, was held last month with the theme “Smile from Within – Nurturing Wellness Wholly”.

The event featured an inspiring wellness talk on “𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴” by Clinical Associate Professor Teoh Khim Hean, Institution Wellness Officer and Senior Consultant, Prosthodontics Unit, Department of Restorative Dentistry.

Recognised for their contributions was 𝗠𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶 receiving the 𝗢𝗥𝗛 𝗔𝗖𝗣 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 for teaching involvement in SIT’s Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography programme and 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗶 𝗟𝗶𝗻 receiving the 𝗢𝗥𝗛 𝗔𝗖𝗣 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 for the Orthodontics Residency Training Programme.

Two new awards were also introduced to recognise excellence and continuous improvement in residency training, with the 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 receiving the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 and the 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 receiving the 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱.

The afternoon also featured an interactive Squid Game-inspired workshop led by Ms Cheng Qianhui, Manager, Department of Neuroradiology at NNO, Singapore, where 30 nominated staff took part in engaging activities focused on workplace civility and wellness.

Congratulations to all award recipients and thank you to everyone who made the day a meaningful celebration of education, appreciation and holistic wellness.
