This photo was taken back in Jan 2020 when I went back to Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year with family and friends. It was beyond great, as I finally get to spend time with my precious ones in life after working hard in another country alone (in terms of close family members). Which is also the reason why I chose to move to Singapore from New Zealand as I want to be closer to my family.
Little did I know.... the very precious few days off that I took for that year means ... see you in a few years time, if we are fortunate enough. But thanks to advancement in technology, I get to keep in touch with my loved ones.
Not to mention, many heartbreaking stories I heard from patients. We are all helpless to certain extent. And sadly, the consequences/impact for some is to an extent we can never imagine.
I miss home, and I am not rushing home. I hope we can all take care of ourselves well. I hope my family, friends, and even strangers can stay strong, persevere and fight through this long battle together. Keeping ourselves safe, is the best we can do for our loved ones, and for every one of us living in this world.
1. Please stay home unless emergency/essential.
2. do your sanitizing properly (doorknob, phones, touched surfaces with dirty hands)(clean your hand properly).
3. Treat everybody as potential virus carrier, no showing off your face to other people without mask even when you’re just breathing and not talking.
4. Social distancing
5. Never eat with your colleagues, friends, and even family members as virus carriers is everywhere, and can be any of us.
6. Be honest and responsible when you came into contact with potential covid positive patients. Quarantine yourself. Like, really quarantine.
7. Get vaccinated when you have the chance.
8. Don’t spread rumors.
9. Be kind, help each other in a smart and responsible way.
10. Don’t underestimate the impact this virus can bring to all of us.
Please, guard up, take good care of yourself mentally and physically. For you, for me, for all of us.
No one is safe, until everyone is safe. Stay safe.
