Hong Baos of Benevolence 2025
In the Chinese zodiac, the Snake embodies a blend of charm and mystery and often represents wisdom and transformation.

In light of this, Tooth Stories is happy to invite another of our talented patients, Emma Choo, to design our 2025 hongbaos to raise funds for Extraordinary People Ltd.

In a world, where we have been focusing on our benefits and ourselves, Emma is hoping the year of the Snake would bring about a transformation starting from the ones around us to support and create an inclusive society for special needs individuals, which is what Extraordinary People Ltd stands for.

Emma has chosen the character of “容” to highlight the need to accept the uniqueness of each individual, to allow each to shine in their time and to be gracious enough to bear with what we are unfamiliar with.

The two snakes in the design are seen wrapping around the word and each other, symbolising the balance and harmony that an inclusive society would have.
The colours of the snakes were taken from the logo of Extraordinary people, with one snake having warmer tones and the other, a cooler one. This also helps to highlight the harmony aspect of the design and how two different individuals can create a cohesive and beautiful whole.

The background colours of green and pink are specifically chosen to reflect the coming of a new year and a fresh start.

Together with Emma, Tooth Stories would like to highlight the beauty of the uniqueness of every individual in our midst and wish everyone a year of great joy and harmony!

Fortitude for 2024
Children’s Cancer Foundation holds a special meaning in our founder, Dr Daniel Goh’s life. Back in 2019, his fifth child had been diagnosed with a malignant form of rhabdoid tumour at 4 months old. Unfortunately, the cancer had been too aggressive him and after a two month fight, he breathed his last on 1 September 2019.
Having experienced first hand of how a child’s fight against cancer can be draining and heart breaking, Dr Goh was more than happy to commission 12 year old, Sophia Quek in her charity choice.
So this is our finalised 2024 Hongbao design! 毅 for Fortitude or Perseverance, carries both Sophia’s and our hope and wish for the coming year.
The mountains in the picture represent the hurdles in one’s life which are always made easier to get through with a community with us, depicted by the two different sized dragons.
Each packet of 8 costs $16 (or more if you feel generous) and you can make your donation in the link on our main profile!
Just like this year’s, you would need send us a screenshot of your donation together with your mailing address and number of packets to be mailed out. Alternatively, you could choose to pick it from any of our dental clinics when you come for your treatments!
