One shoulder higher than the other? It may be more than just posture.
Uneven shoulders can be one of the first visible signs of scoliosis, especially during growth.
Shoulder balance is influenced by the upper spinal curve, rib rotation and overall alignment, which is why the way the shoulders look does not always match the Cobb angle on an X-ray.
Watch for:
* One shoulder sitting consistently higher
* One shoulder blade appearing more prominent
* A rib prominence when bending forward
* Clothing or straps sitting unevenly
Not every uneven shoulder means scoliosis, but persistent asymmetry is worth checking.
At ScolioLife®, we assess the whole curve pattern, posture and shoulder balance to guide personalised, curve-specific care.
