When significant moments happen in the lives of people you’ve known for many years, you inevitably begin to reflect on your own journey.
In 2015, I took part in my first mission providing medical support for NASA astronauts at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. It was there that I had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Anil Menon during the launch of a spacecraft with Kjell Lindgren on board.
Over the years, we have built Olimp Clinic Mars and the Center for Hand Surgery and Microsurgery. Meanwhile, our dear friend and colleague, Dr. Anil Menon, continued preparing for his spaceflight. Following yesterday’s successful launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, he has officially become an astronaut.
As our clinic has always been closely connected with space, we wish him a successful mission aboard the International Space Station. During this expedition, he will conduct research in space medicine, the effects of microgravity, IV therapy, semiconductor technologies, and AI-assisted medicine—areas that NASA considers critical for future lunar and Mars missions.
These achievements are the result of years of dedication and preparation, and I am genuinely happy to see hi
