February is the month dedicated to “love” holidays: either the borrowed and marketed Valentine’s Day or our genuine Dragobete, it’s an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful and (unfortunately) fragile and volatile emotion. Being in love is a such a privileged state of the soul that what I wish you all is to enjoy it as long as possible, as nothing enriches more an individual than being a creator and giver of love.
Marketing or not, buy a flower for your loved one this month, ok?

The “wishes and suggestions” box
Usually our shops have a “suggestions and complaints” register available to all the customers, but God knows how many of us ever find the time or the will to write something in it, even if the services need some serious improvement. One of these days it caught my eyes that one of the shops had a clever idea to replace the word “complaints” with another one, softer and less aggressive: they had a big, white “wishes and suggestions” box and instantly the word “wishes” made me smile as if inside that box someone was expecting to receive and fulfill my wishes, even though they had no connection whatsoever with that shop.
Since the Christmas holidays are very near, we have also opened a big and white “wishes and suggestions” box and we kindly ask you to fill it with your wishes. Please use this opportunity to feed-us back with your opinion not only about teeth and dental works, about your experiences with our branch, about what you would need in order to pass easier over the hours spent in the waiting room of a clinic, but also about what do you really wish. We don’t have superpowers, but we believe that sometimes the only thing a wish needs in order to materialize is to be launched out and loud in the open air.

Go for natural!!!
Is there still a root left from that painful tooth that gave you sleepless nights? Don’t give up on it …at least not yet.
Questioning what is the best route to take if you still have natural teeth, some of which need restoration? Should you get rid of them and opt for dental implants or trust your dentist to preserve the natural teeth? Which is better, preservation with root canal procedure or dental implant?
Researches show that the most common treatment options – root canals and dental implants – have equal success or survival rates, but the authors conclude that the priority should always be to preserve the natural tooth before extracting and replacing with an implant.
There are several notable differences between the two procedures. Dental implants require extracting the tooth followed by multiple surgeries to insert a metal post in the jaw and affix a porcelain crown to the post. These surgeries often can take three or more visits to complete, and can be timely and costly. During root canal treatment, the source of tooth pain – inflamed pulp – is removed and the inside of the tooth is then cleaned, filled and sealed. Today, most root canals can be completed in one visit and are virtually painless.
Since the comparative analysis uncovered no significant differences in the success rates between the two options, the researchers emphasize that treatment decisions must be based on factors other than outcome, such as case complexity or the patient’s individual health and preferences.
So we get back to you…the patient. You are in fact the most important when weighing treatment options. Your health and specific oral care needs, the condition of gum and bone tissue, the health of teeth surrounding the tooth that needs restoration, the chronic diseases from which you suffer such as diabetes, if you are a smoker or not, all these factors are crucial. Consider them before making a decision and consider only the alternative that is the best for you.

These two words “dental tourism” seem to put together something unpleasant (….uhhh teeth works again) with something very pleasant (yupiiii …holiday, relaxation, fun). Actually the entire experience might become entirely 100% pleasant and relaxing, not mentioning very convenient, if you gather all the necessary information and come to us bearing in mind the idea that we are here to make you not only look better but also to feel the same way.
Here is some information about our touristic options: we are located in Tulcea city, at 300 km away from Bucharest and the International Airport Henri Coanda and at 125 km away from Constanta. Tulcea is also known as “The gate to the Danube Delta” due to its privileged position at the entrance into one of the most beautiful deltas in Europe which was built during the last 16,000 years by the Danube at its mouth with the Black Sea. The Danube Delta is also one of the greatest wetlands of the earth, with wonderful natural habitats inhabited by an impressive number of animals and birds. The tourists visiting the Danube Delta have the possibility to choose between the following activities: sightseeing, sunbathing, bird watching, fishing, enjoying various fish meals, boat trips etc.
Apart from the Danube Delta, we recommend visits to the “monasteries triangle” comprising the three Orthodox monasteries: Celic Dere, Saon and Cocos. The region is also famous for its vineyards, thus your journey will prove beneficial not only to appease the spirit but also to deepen your feelings of relaxation, comfort and well-being.
Last but not least, you will enjoy our town: small but daintily, with a beautiful central square, with museums, Aquarium and churches in a variety of architectural structures, with a walk on the Danube shore and alongside a lake, with good places to eat or hang out, with stories… old ones or funny ones…..

We recommend you to check out our website: it’s freshly launched online and provides not only information about our products and services but also about our project (financed by the EU through the Regional Operational Programme) which is currently underway. We invest in new and modern equipment and you get better quality for the same value if not for less!

Rolling the dice or not…
When deciding to ask for a dental work, don’t just roll the dice, choose a doctor and hope to be fine at the end. You can easily avoid any future frustration by asking and providing as much information as needed.
Provide information about: your current and past medical situation, your allergies, your eating habits, any special condition that you think should be considered.
Ask information about: every detail of the dental treatment suggested by the doctor, the estimated duration, the alternative types of dental works suited for your situation with their advantages and disadvantages, the detailed costs of the procedure, the warranty terms.
Ask information, compare the offers and choose wisely.
Finally, don’t forget that you are a unique human being and accordingly your needs are unique, meaning that you should choose the best solution for you, and not what proved to be ok for others.
Good luck and roll the dice only at the game table.

Do you think it’s about time to ask about that denture? Here is some information to make you start:
Dentures also known as “false teeth” are made to replace teeth you have lost. Dentures can be complete or partial. Complete dentures cover your entire upper or lower jaw. Partials replace one or a few teeth.
Nowadays the dentures are very natural looking and more comfortable than they used to be. If they feel strange at first, don’t worry: provided that you observe some basic rules, the denture will quickly become your friend.
First, consider that a time of adjustment is needed. During this initial period when the denture is getting its best fit to your mouth, you may feel small pains or just inconveniences here and there: these are easily removed with the help of the dentist as he is able to correct the denture in those points.
Second, be sure to keep the denture in your mouth, day and night: this is the only way you will get used to it.
Third, take good care of your denture: wash it with a dental brush after each meal and then put it back into the mouth. By removing the food residues, you keep your denture clean, shiny and free of nasty smells.
Fourth, eat mindfully: biting from a bone is not forbidden but you should do it carefully. Otherwise, a few teeth or even the denture itself might break. We can repair this but hey, why not avoid it in the first place?
Finally, don’t be afraid if over time the denture starts to feel loose: this is normal as your gum is shrinking and it can be easily corrected with an adjustment made by the dentist.
