🇵🇹 PT Friday Post | No seguimento do último post sobre patient-centered care, partilhamos mais um antes e depois de reabilitação total da maxila sobre implantes, planeada digitalmente com scanner intraoral, scanner extraoral e fotogrametria extraoral. Um processo partilhado com o paciente, com validação de protótipos e ajustes em cada etapa até à reabilitação final em zircónia monolítica. A tecnologia evolui, mas a decisão clínica e a participação do paciente continuam a ser fundamentais. Agora, a chave será a manutenção regular! 🙌 com Fábio Calvo

🇺🇸 ENG Friday Post | Following our last post on patient-centered care, we share another digitally planned maxillary full-arch implant rehabilitation, using intraoral scanning, extraoral scanning and extraoral photogrammetry. A process shared with the patient with prototypes tested and adjustments made along the way, leading to the final monolithic zirconia restoration. Technology keeps evolving, but clinical decision-making and patient involvement remain essential. Now, regular maintenance is key! 🙌

🇵🇹 PT 📚 No seguimento do último caso clínico, esta revisão sistemática e meta-análise lembra-nos que a perda dentária vai muito além da ausência de dentes. 🦷 Quando a função está comprometida, o impacto na qualidade de vida relacionada com a saúde oral pode ser significativo. Hoje, o conceito de patient-centered care ganha ainda mais sentido. Não basta avaliar o sucesso clínico de uma reabilitação. Importa perceber o que a saúde oral representa na vida de cada paciente. Tratamos pessoas, não apenas dentes! 🙌

🇺🇸 ENG 📚 Following our latest clinical case, this systematic review and meta-analysis reminds us that tooth loss goes far beyond missing teeth. 🦷 When function is compromised, the impact on oral health-related quality of life can be significant. Today, patient-centered care is more relevant than ever. Clinical outcomes alone are not enough. We also need to understand what oral health means in each patient's daily life. We treat people, not just teeth! 🙌

O planeamento foi totalmente digital, combinando scanner intraoral, scanner facial e fotogrametria intraoral. Antes da reabilitação final em zircónia monolítica, passámos por diferentes protótipos, sempre com a paciente envolvida nas decisões e na evolução do seu novo sorriso! 🇺🇸 ENG Wednesday Post | A particularly challenging case: terminal dentition with limited bone availability (Caramês Class V) treated with a bimaxillary implant-supported rehabilitation. The treatment was fully digitally planned, combining intraoral scanning, facial scanning and intraoral photogrammetry. Before the final monolithic zirconia rehabilitation, we went through different prototypes, with the patient involved in the decisions and in the evolution of her new smile. ENG 🇬🇧 🎯 Grateful once again for the opportunity to be part of the speaker panel and contribute to the live surgery and prosthetic adaptation during Module 6 of the EAO Diploma in Implant Dentistry !

This year, my lecture focused on the digital workflow for full-arch rehabilitation—not only its potential, but also its limitations. As digital dentistry continues to evolve, understanding where technology adds value, where it doesn't, and why meticulous planning remains the cornerstone of predictable treatment is more important than ever. Technology is a powerful tool, but it will never replace sound clinical judgment.

A sincere thank you to , and for the invitation and continued trust. I'm also grateful to the entire - special thanks to , - and team. Every lecture reflects the work of an entire team.

À medida que a tecnologia evolui, torna-se ainda mais importante perceber onde ela acrescenta valor e onde o sucesso continua a depender de um diagnóstico rigoroso, de um planeamento cuidadoso e de uma execução previsível. A tecnologia é uma ferramenta extraordinária. O planeamento continua a ser o fator decisivo.

🇵🇹 New Reframe 🎯 Restorative space shapes full-arch design.

Neste novo Reframe, a ideia é simples: em reabilitação total, o desenho protético não pode ser separado do espaço restaurador disponível. Este artigo relembra que o planeamento do caso deve ser global, integrando espaço, relação intermaxilar, suporte tecidular e estratégia protética desde o início. Quando falhamos variáveis que podemos e devemos controlar na fase de diagnóstico e planeamento, não faz sentido culpar o material no fim.

🇺🇲 New Reframe 🎯 Restorative space shapes full-arch design.

This new Reframe highlights a simple idea: in full-arch rehabilitation, prosthetic design cannot be separated from the available restorative space. The paper reminds us that case planning must be global, integrating space, interarch relationship, tissue support, and prosthetic strategy from the beginning. When we fail in variables we can and should control during diagnosis and planning, it makes little sense to blame the material at the end.
