A patient presented with pain in the upper central incisors and blackening of the crown margins. Both teeth were tender to percussion with evident periapical radiolucency on evaluation. The old crowns were removed, followed by root canal treatment and correction of crown margins to restore both health and esthetics. New crowns were placed, resulting in complete relief from pain and a confident, refreshed smile.
