Dental Implants in a Growing Patient:
A 10-year-8-month-old female patient presented after a fall from a swing, resulting in the avulsion of both maxillary central incisors. Following clinical and radiographic evaluation, dental implants were placed and restored with zirconia crowns in accordance with the most recent clinical guidelines for implant placement in growing patients, emphasizing proper case selection, growth assessment, and timing of implant therapy.

A 53 year old female patient presented with persistent pain and discomfort in the upper left posterior maxillary region. Clinical examination revealed tenderness on percussion in relation to tooth 27, with evidence of previous endodontic treatment. Periapical radiographic evaluation demonstrated a periapical radiolucency associated with the roots of 27, consistent with chronic infection and bone loss around the tooth.
Following clinical and radiographic assessment, the tooth was deemed non-restorable and extraction was planned. After a suitable healing period, implant-supported rehabilitation was carried out to restore function and aesthetics. Two implants were placed in the region of 26 and 27 to replace the missing posterior maxillary teeth, achieving excellent primary stability and optimal angulation within the available bone. The final prosthetic restoration was delivered following successful osseointegration, restoring occlusal harmony and eliminating the patient’s previous symptoms.

Implant placed #46 in 22 years old female

58-year-old patient presented with missing posterior teeth and a knife-edge ridge morphology.
Following clinical and radiographic assessment, implant therapy was planned. A ridge split technique with controlled bone expansion was performed to widen the alveolar ridge, allowing ideal implant placement. Two implants were placed following standard surgical protocol in 46 and 47 sites. Healing was uneventful, and osseointegration was achieved within the expected timeframe. Definitive prosthetic crowns were delivered, restoring function and occlusion.
This case demonstrates the use of ridge split and expansion techniques to manage narrow ridges and achieve predictable implant-supported restorations in older patients.
