I would like to share an interesting Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery case for academic purposes.
A patient presented with a jaw swelling and was diagnosed with biopsy-proven ameloblastoma, a benign but locally aggressive odontogenic tumor. After clinical, radiological, and histopathological evaluation, the patient underwent segmental resection of the involved jaw with immediate reconstruction using a free fibula flap by our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team.
The surgery was successful, and the postoperative recovery has been uneventful. This case highlights the advanced ablative and microvascular reconstructive procedures routinely. The patient is currently on regular follow-up with satisfactory healing.
The case has been anonymized and is shared purely for academic and educational purposes.
