According to media reports quoting FBR Chairman Rashid Langrial, around 9,000 individuals in Pakistan reportedly hold Rs. 750 billion in bank deposits while paying no income tax.

If divided equally, this comes to approximately:

💰 Rs. 8.33 crore per person
🌎 Around $300,000 USD per person
based on an estimated exchange rate

This raises serious questions about tax fairness, documentation, and accountability in Pakistan.

Pakistan needs a stronger tax system where the burden is not only on salaried people and small businesses, but everyone contributes fairly.

Tooth loss and gum disease may be quietly influencing weight gain—new research suggests.

A study in the Journal of Periodontology found that individuals with fewer teeth, reduced chewing ability, and signs of periodontal disease were more likely to gain weight over a 4-year period. The connection isn’t just about appearance—it reflects changes in how the mouth functions and how the body responds.

When teeth are missing, chewing efficiency drops. People tend to shift toward softer, more processed foods that are easier to eat but often higher in calories and lower in fiber. Missing molars, in particular, reduce bite force, making it harder to properly break down food and subtly altering long-term dietary patterns.

Gum disease adds another layer. Chronic inflammation from periodontal infection can influence the body beyond the mouth, while sore or bleeding gums can make chewing uncomfortable—further encouraging softer, calorie-dense food choices. Even before teeth are lost, function may already be compromised.

Over time, these combined effects can impact nutrition and weight. Maintaining healthy gums and preserving or replacing teeth helps protect chewing function—and supports better overall health.

A headache isn’t always coming from your head.
Sometimes, the source is your tooth.

The trigeminal nerve supplies sensation to your teeth, jaw, face, and parts of the head. When a tooth becomes inflamed or infected, pain signals travel along this shared pathway—so the brain can misinterpret the source of pain.

This is called referred pain.

It’s why a dental problem can feel like pain in the temple, ear, eye, or one side of the head—often on the same side.

Common dental causes include:
• Deep cavities reaching the pulp
• Tooth infection or abscess
• Teeth grinding (bruxism)
• Temporomandibular disorders (TMD)
• Impacted wisdom teeth

A key clue:
If your headache is one-sided and worsens with chewing, the source may be dental.

Ignoring it doesn’t just prolong the pain—it allows the underlying problem to progress.

Treat the source, not just the symptom.

Baby teeth usually come in a predictable order.
Most babies get their first tooth around 6–10 months, and the full set of 20 primary teeth is usually complete by around age 3. Regular dental visits during these early years are important for building a healthy smile from the start. 🦷✨
