On 20 May 2026, a symposium titled Beyond 2D: The Power of CBCT in Modern Dentistry was held in the Lecture Hall at Rehmat Memorial Postgraduate Dental Hospital, Abbottabad. The session was led by Prof. Dr. Nabila Anwar, Dr. Jawad, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Umer Khan, offering valuable insights into shifting perspectives in orthodontics through advanced imaging.

Workshop on Fracture Classification and Orthopedic Trauma Management Held at WDC Skills Lab – 13 May 2026

On 13 May 2026, a specialized CME workshop on fracture classification, diagnosis, and orthopedic trauma management was held at the Skills Lab, Women Dental College Abbottabad, in collaboration with Jinnah International Hospital. The session was facilitated by Dr. Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah (MBBS, FCPS) and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Basharat (MBBS, FCPS).

Participants gained valuable insights into fracture classification and orthopedic care through an interactive learning experience. HOD DDER WDC Dr. M. Abdullah Qazi attended the workshop. Director Academic WDC Dr. Qazi Adnan Bashir appreciated the session and distributed shields and certificates to the facilitators and participants.

Free Dental Health Camp Organized by WDC at The Arqam School & The Royal Institute of Science – 13 May 2026

On 13 May 2026, the Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry, Women Dental College Abbottabad, under the leadership of Dr. Qurat-ul-Ain (Associate Professor), successfully organized a Free Dental Health Camp at The Arqam School and The Royal Institute of Science.

The camp included oral health awareness sessions, oral hygiene instructions, brushing technique demonstrations, oral screening, and referral services to promote better oral health awareness.

We sincerely appreciate the valuable support and participation of Dr. Samreen, Dr. Zara, Dr. Azeem, Ms. Sania Shoaib, Mr. Adeel, 2nd Year BDS students, and the Student Health Awareness & Outreach Society for making this activity a success.

On 7 May 2026, an insightful workshop titled Designing Effective OSCE Stations was held at the DME Conference Room, WMDC, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The session was facilitated by Dr. Usman Mahboob (MBBS, MPH, FHEA (UK), PhD (UK), Post-Doc (UK), Fellow FAIMER (USA), Professor in Medical Education and Director, Institute of Health Professions Education & Research, Khyber Medical University, Peshawar).

The workshop was highly interactive and impactful, appreciated by Director Academic and Hospital Affairs Dr. Qazi Adnan Bashir and Principal WDC Prof. Dr. Shahid Khan. Certificates were distributed to participants, and a shield was presented to Dr. Usman Mahboob by Dr. Qazi Adnan Bashir.
