🦷 CASE OF THE DAY

🦷CASE OF THE DAY

⚠️ Ang sugat sa bibig na hindi naghihilom ay hindi dapat balewalain.

Ang pasyenteng ito ay nagpabunot ng ngipin 3 taon na ang nakalipas. Sa halip na tuluyang maghilom, nanatiling bukas ang sugat. Isang buwan bago siya magpakonsulta sa aming klinika, muli siyang nagpabunot ng ngipin sa parehong bahagi, ngunit hanggang sa araw ng konsultasyon ay hindi pa rin naghihilom ang sugat.

Sa aming clinical examination, napansin ang isang malawak na ulcerative lesion na kahina-hinala para sa Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC)—ang pinakakaraniwang uri ng oral cancer. Dahil dito, agad naming ini-refer ang pasyente para sa biopsy, ang tanging paraan upang makumpirma ang diagnosis at masimulan ang naaangkop na paggamot.

🚨 Mga senyales na hindi dapat balewalain:

✅ Sugat sa bibig na hindi naghihilom sa loob ng 2 linggo
✅ Bukol o makapal na bahagi sa bibig
✅ Madaling pagdurugo
✅ Ngiping lumuluwag nang walang malinaw na dahilan
✅ Hirap sa pagnguya o paglunok
✅ Pamamanhid ng labi, dila, o baba

❗ Mahalagang paalala: Hindi lahat ng sugat na hindi naghihilom ay cancer. Maaari rin itong dulot ng impeksyon, trauma, o iba pang kondisyon. Ngunit anumang sugat sa bibig na tumatagal nang higit sa dalawang linggo ay nararapat na masuri ng dentista o oral surgeon. Ang biopsy lamang ang makapagkukumpirma ng tunay na diagnosis.

📍 Ang maagang pagsusuri ay maaaring makapagligtas ng buhay. Huwag hintaying lumala ang kondisyon bago magpakonsulta.
