Here are a few simple tips for taking care of your toddler’s teeth:
• Brush their teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a small amount of fluoride toothpaste.
• Make brushing fun—use songs, games, or colorful brushes!
• Avoid giving sweets and sugary drinks too often.
• Don’t let them fall asleep with a bottle of milk or juice.
• Visit the dentist by their first birthday or as soon as the first tooth comes in.
• Be a role model—let them see you brushing your own teeth, too!
