On October 9, 2025, at 10:52 AM in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, operatives of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Cyber Response Team conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man, alias "Jeff," for engaging in unauthorized dental services.
"Jeff" is facing charges for violation of Section 33(a) of RA No. 9484 (Philippine Dental Act of 2007) in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).
Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the team for the successful operation. "Always verify the credentials of those offering professional services online. Trusting unlicensed individuals endangers your health and safety. The PNP ACG remains steadfast in its mission to protect the public from online scams and illegal activities," he said.
