Dentista: "Bakit sira na ang mga ngipin ng bata?"
Magulang: "Doc, mahilig kasi kumain ng matatamis at ayaw mag toothbrush"

Mahalaga ang papel ng magulang sa kalusugang dental ng mga bata dahil sila ang gumagabay sa tamang pag-aalaga ng ngipin, upang maiwasan ang pagkasira o pagkabulok (dental caries) ng mga ito. Sila ang nagtuturo ng tamang pagsisipilyo, nagkokontrol ng pagkain (lalo na sa matatamis), at nagdadala sa kanila sa dentista para sa regular check-up.
