Why Do I Need Adjustments?
The pressure that the braces place on your teeth to cause movement will reduce over time, making it necessary that the orthodontist re-establish the force needed to straighten your teeth. The orthodontist needs to adjust brackets, replace rubber bands and make small bends in the wires.

Without adjustments, your teeth will stop moving and treatment will not progress.
You also need regular checkups while you wear braces to ensure that the orthodontist corrects any teeth that are not moving the way they should, or that any unanticipated problems can be addressed before they advance.

FYI. This Is not DIY braces. Patient came to the clinic complaining of misaligned teeth (see upper left photo). This is real ortho case. She is based abroad and she missed her appointments for 3 months. Unfortunately, her dentist came home to Manila already and sadly this happened to her teeth! Nasira na yun ngipin nya. Upper molars are already mobile. Lower molars drifted towards the adjacent tooth,forcefully! To all ortho patients, this can also happen to you if you do not keep your appointments. Please wag kayong “deadma” sa mga recall ng mga dentista nyo! We are doing our job to fix your teeth, so be responsible and cooperative too!
