PEG-SHAPED LATERAL INCISORS 🦷

For this case, open coil springs were placed on both sides of the upper lateral incisors ( #12 and #22) to create adequate space around the peg-shaped lateral incisors.

Both lateral incisors are smaller in height and width, so orthodontic space management is necessary before proceeding with tooth filling/restorative treatment to improve their size, shape, and overall smile aesthetics.

SUCCESSFUL ODONTECTOMY | 2-MONTH POST-OPERATIVE FOLLOW-UP

Our patient underwent odontectomy for the removal of an impacted upper right supernumerary canine. The case was managed carefully with the goal of creating a healthier and cleaner foundation for the patient’s future orthodontic treatment.

The patient’s goal is to have braces, but before starting orthodontic treatment, he wanted to make sure that his teeth and oral cavity were properly prepared including completing necessary tooth restorations/fillings, cleaning, and other required dental treatments.

✔️ Odontectomy – removal of impacted upper right supernumerary canine
✔️ Post-operative monitoring and healing
✔️ Necessary dental fillings/restorations
✔️ Thorough oral cleaning
✔️ Preparation for future orthodontic treatment
