Taking X-rays before and after the surgery is crucial for several reasons:

• Pre-surgery evaluation: Pre-operative X-rays help evaluate the position of the tooth, the relationship to adjacent teeth, and the proximity to vital structures like nerves and sinuses.

• Surgical Planning: They guide the surgeon in planning the procedure, ensuring the best approach and technique to minimize complications.

• Post-Surgery Evaluation: Post-operative X-rays allow for assessment of the surgical site, confirming the complete removal of the tooth and checking for any complications, such as infection or bone loss.

Here is a case of an Impacted third molar (wisdom tooth) removal at Malabed Dental Clinic pre and post surgery X-ray.
