Philippine Dental Association Western Visayas Regional Scientific Conference in Cooperation with Dolfenal-Hosted by PDA Antique Chapter.

October 24, 2024- Solana Premier III, Iloilo City.

Despite Signal Number 1 being raised due to Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, PDA-Antique pushed through with the conduct of the regional scientific conferrence. The attendance was well attended by the PDA Delegation (Dr. Ronaldo P. Nuñez, Dr. Xandro Raymond Dael, Dr. Marie Arlene Christine Valerio, Dr. Ryan Tiongco, Dr. Anna Rose Trocio-via Zoom, Dr. Manrick Reloj Isagan, Dr. George Evangelista, Dr. Lucilo Niñal Jr., Mr. William Antonio- from Unilab) despite the threat of flight cancellations due to unfavorable weather conditions in Metro Manila.

Scientific Lecturers were: Dr. Ryan Tiongco on the topic: Assessment and Management of Complications in Oral Surgery, Dr. Rico Martin Gerochi on the Topic: Work Efficiently with Digital Dentistry and Dr. Marie Arlene Christine Valerio on the topic: 2D or 3D? CBCT and its use in Dentistry together with Mr. Oswald Padilla for the hands on manipulation of CBCT.

With the participation of Region 6 Chapters-Antique Aklan, Capiz and Iloilo, the event was successful. PDA-Bacolod and PDA-Negros Occidental were unable to cross the rough seas due to travel restrictions but they were able to participate in a hybrid arrangement.
