Uneven, off-midline, and dull-looking old composite restorations.
After removing the old composites, the gums—especially on the lingual (back) side—began to bleed due to inflammation from the previous restoration. Rather than rushing the procedure, we chose to let the tissues heal.
The patient was recalled 3 days after, allowing the swelling to subside. With healthier, more manageable soft tissues and the help of local anesthesia, we were able to proceed with treatment smoothly and achieve a better foundation for the final restorations.
Healthy gums are just as important as beautiful teeth. Respecting the soft tissues leads to better aesthetics, function, and long-term results.
