For the past two years, Dental Services has become inaccessible due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Thus, some of our military personnel in the field could not avail the basic dental services that they need, resulting to almost 65% increase in poor oral hygiene, and a 15% increase in dental diseases.

However, with the guidance of Commanding Officer, 1305th PAF Dental Dispensary, COL JONATHAN L DUMLAO DS (GSC) and with the support from the Group Commander, 585th Air Base Group, LTC JONATHAN J INOCANDO PAF (GSC), this Unit has deployed a dental team to one of our Radar Sites at Paredes Air Station, Pasuquin Ilocos Norte on 25-27 May 2022. This effort is to reach out to our troops in the field, and their dependents, addressing their dental concerns and providing dental services they need.

The dental team treated a total of 84 military personnel and 11 dependents during this activity, and performed dental procedures with a total of 80 oral prophylaxis (cleaning), 14 tooth extractions, 25 tooth restorations, and 18 preventive sealants for pediatric dependents.

This activity is in line with the contribution of the PAF Dental Service to the AFP Transformation Roadmap of the Office of the Chief Dental Service, to obtain and sustain "Fit to Serve" AFP personnel.

You and your teeth, may forever!

Kaya if may problem sa TMJ, see your dentist right away!
