Patient has a class 3 profile, hypoplastic upper lip and a shortened left central incisor with a plastic jacket crown.
Treatment:
1. Patient is undergoing an Orthodontic treatment, the first to be corrected was the Class 3 profile or the forward position of lower jaw and teeth .
2. When class 1 or normal occlusion was achieved it was also observed that the hypoplastic upper lip improved it was then decided to do crown lengthening by cutting the gums of the left central incisor.
3. When the gums healed the old plastic crown was removed and a direct reshaping of the crown was done.
4. Brackets were cemented again to continue and finish the orthodontic case.
Truly, a quite complicated case but with the correct treatment plan and complete trust and cooperation by the patient, a beautiful smile is still achievable.
