For three decades, PDCP has remained committed to nurturing smiles and shaping futures not only for children, but also for the dental professionals who care for them.

The PEDOCOP Workshop is one of the many ways this mission continues, providing dentists with opportunities to deepen their understanding of pediatric dental care, learn from experienced mentors, and apply practical approaches in their own clinical practice.

Here's what our participants had to say about their PEDOCOP learning experience.

As PDCP celebrates 30 years of nurturing smiles and shaping futures, it takes a meaningful step forward with the launch of the SmileCare Foundation Philippines.

The Foundation was created to sustain and expand PDCP's advocacy by helping more children, particularly those from underserved communities, access the pediatric dental care they need. It will also work to strengthen support for children's oral health, empower more dentists through training, encourage research, and build partnerships that can extend the mission to more communities.

Led by its first Chairperson, Dr. Liza Centeno, together with its officers and Board of Trustees, the Foundation carries forward the same purpose that has guided PDCP for three decades: to serve the Filipino child with compassion and excellence.

This is more than the beginning of a new organization. It is a renewed promise to nurture more smiles, uplift more families, and help build a future where every child can grow with greater health, confidence, and hope.

What began with a small group of externs has grown into a continuing legacy of education, mentorship, and service.

For three decades, PDCP's Pediatric Dentistry residency training program has helped shape dentists who are not only clinically competent, but also patient, compassionate, and prepared to care for the unique needs of children. Guided by dedicated consultants and lecturers, residents learn that Pediatric Dentistry is also about helping a fearful child feel safe, building trust with families, and turning difficult dental experiences into more positive ones.

The program's impact extends far beyond the walls of PDCP. As its graduates return to serve their respective communities, more Filipino children gain access to pediatric dental care grounded in both excellence and compassion. To the mentors, residents, graduates, lecturers, partners, and staff who continue to carry the AEPD mission forward, thank you for helping build a legacy that will shape the profession and nurture young smiles for generations to come.

Not all heroes stand in the spotlight. Some work quietly behind the scenes, offering steady hands, dependable support, and compassionate service through every busy day. As part of its 30th anniversary celebration, PDCP honored three long-serving members of its family: Maryjane "Mother Jane" Pandiling, who has served for 26 years; Lorna "Mother Lorna" Añes, who has dedicated 29 years to the Center; and Rolando "Mang Lando" Tante, who has been with PDCP since it was established in 1996.

Their work has supported generations of dentists, residents, patients, and families. More than their years of service, it is their loyalty, generosity, professionalism, and willingness to help that have made them invaluable members of the PDCP community.

Congratulations to PDCP's Service Recognition Awardees. Thank you for helping nurture countless smiles and for standing faithfully behind PDCP's mission throughout the years.

Behind PDCP's 30-year journey are leaders whose vision, dedication, and service helped transform a shared advocacy into a lasting institution.

At the 30th Anniversary Gala, PDCP honored Dr. Noel Vallesteros for his enduring contributions to Pediatric Dentistry, education, and public oral health. Dr. Soledad Navarro was recognized for the visionary leadership that brought PDCP to life and established the foundation for its mission of serving Filipino children.

The organization also paid tribute to the late Dr. Fe del Mundo, whose generosity and belief in holistic pediatric care gave PDCP a home and helped make its mission possible. Their legacies live on through the children cared for, the pediatric dentists trained, and the generations of professionals inspired to continue serving with excellence and compassion. Congratulations to PDCP’s distinguished awardees and honorees.
