Looking at this photo makes me a little teary-eyed. These young ladies were once tiny 2-year-olds sitting on my dental chair. Today, one has already graduated from college, another is about to start college, and the youngest is now in high school.
Meanwhile, I'm here with a few more white hairs, a few more achy joints, and a heart that's infinitely fuller.
They say time flies, and it truly does. One day you're celebrating first teeth and first dental visits; the next, you're celebrating graduations, milestones, and dreams coming true. Before you know it, life has either rewarded the moments you embraced or quietly passed by the ones you postponed.
To all the families who have entrusted us with your smiles through the years, thank you. Watching your children grow into kind, capable, beautiful adults has been one of the greatest privileges and sources of fulfillment in my journey as a dentist. Your milestones have become part of ours, and nothing makes us prouder than seeing them flourish.
May we spend a little less time worrying about who we're becoming and a little more time appreciating who we already are. Because in the end, it is our presence, not our perfection, that becomes life's most treasured memory. ❤️
