📢 FYI: KNOW YOUR RETAINERS! 🦷

After your braces are removed, your orthodontic journey doesn’t end there! Retainers are essential to help maintain your teeth in their new positions and prevent them from shifting back

Here are two common types of retainers:

🦷 1. Hawley Retainer
✔️ Made with an acrylic plate and metal wires
✔️ Durable and adjustable
✔️ Removable for eating and cleaning

🦷 2. Clear Plastic Retainer
✔️ Transparent and less noticeable
✔️ Custom-made to fit your teeth
✔️ Removable and easy to wear

💡 REMEMBER: Both types can help maintain your orthodontic results when worn as prescribed by your dentist or orthodontist. The best option depends on your individual needs.

⚠️ Don’t skip wearing your retainers! Your teeth can gradually shift after braces, even if they look perfectly aligned.

Ongoing Orthodontic Case 🦷

This patient has severe spacing of the lower teeth, which affected her bite and made it difficult to bite properly because of the large spaces between the lower teeth.

With continued orthodontic treatment, we’ve achieved significant improvement in both tooth alignment and bite, allowing her to smile and bite more comfortably and confidently. 💜

We also performed gentle enamel recontouring/polishing on the upper central incisors (11 & 21) to smoothen the developmental bumps and create a more even, harmonious appearance.

✨ Still an ongoing case, but already a beautiful transformation 🥰

improving both function and aesthetics, one step at a time.
