"MAGSIPILYO KAHIT NASA QUARANTINE".
Hanggang sa muli nating pagkikita kita.. SMILE!!!

Dear Patients,

Lately our dental profession is being bashed by some, demanding where are we now as health frontliners should be.
Let me explain to those who are concerned. Obviously our working field is your mouth. Our mouth and nose are interconnected at the throat area hence when you sometimes swallow liquid, it accidentally goes out through your nose. Thus within our working field are saliva, nasal discharges, phlegm, oral microbes and blood.
To add, our hand equipment are run by compressed air hence aerosol transmission is difficult to contain. Your dentist and his/her dental assistant need PPEs which are hard to find right now as they are reserved for medical frontliners.
Our mother organization, The Philippine Dental Association ADVICED its members not to open clinics, because it is aware that 99.99% of these are ill equipped to join this battle.
As much as we worry about our patients' well being, we will be endangering ours, our families' life and yours as well, if we give in to your demand. We apologize to our patients with pending cases such as dentures to install, braces to adjust, half finished root canal therapy, dental cavities to restore and mouths to clean.
Dental emergencies such as pain and infection are referred to hospital based dental clinics. We also do waking hours teleconsultation.
We are indeed your health providers but with apologies, we take the role of REAR GUARDS in this war

FYI

To those who Bash Dental Professionals.

We are doing our part fighting this Corona Crisis as much as these frontliners.

Merely by bashing these Dental professionals helps nobody except it creates more fire to this other issue we try to solve.

Let's try to avoid adding issues.

If you have complains, use that time to seek for help rather than waste your time ranting on Social Media platforms.

Go to the Hospital Dentists for emergency cases.

Time is a critical factor for curing your concern, as with any disease, Time is both our friend and enemy.

Don't waste it.

Reasons why Dental clinics are closed?

They work with aerosols. Saliva. Oral cavity.

Water and air comes from their equipment.

Small droplets of water floating in the air, the same mode of transmission as with COVID-19.

We don't want Dental Clinic's to help spreading the Virus.

Imagine one positive patient comes to the Dental clinic, without any symptoms, while these droplets remain on various sites of the Dental chair.

We will have to require immense hygiene protocols in order to treat our patients.

Then the next patient enters, the possibility of getting infected is huge.

Why putting everybody more at risk?

"Well, why not have strict standards in PPE, personal protective equipment?"

Those who are out there in Hospitals need these supplies.

Dentists are one of the most health-risking professions, way before this Crisis.

And you may not agree with it in this COVID-19 battle, but fighting a war against something doesn't always mean you need to be at the frontline to win.

This only works if everybody works together.

This Covid-19 will only be conquered if we Dentists take a step back and do our part preventing the spread of the Virus.

We have respect for both parties. The frontliners, and those who stay Disciplined at home.

Dear Patients,

The situation brought about by the COVID-19 disease stopped me from providing dentistry services because I do not have N95 masks, one-time use disposable gowns, and impermeable footwear which are part of the list of appropriate PPE for the prevention of viral spread and are most needed by our Frontliners. I am worried that it may take more weeks or months before the virus is controlled. COVID-19 cases are still rising and I don't want to add more to that. I can give online prescription for analgesic and antibiotic medication if necessary. That's the most I can do as of the moment. Please stay at home, pray and stay healthy. 🙏

17/03/2020

To all our valued patients:

In cooperation with our government's directive on enhanced community quarantine due to Covid19. Our clinic is temporary closed today March 17,2020 until further notice.

Thankyou for understanding.
Stay at home and be safe😘
