This is a prime visual of the problems impacted wisdom teeth may cause:
❌️ Because of it's angulation and location in an area that's hard to clean, the upper wisdom has already become severely carious, causing intense pain
❌️ Because of it's proximity to the adjacent molar, the lower wisdom tooth has already pushed into and caused significant damage to the 2nd molar

On average, we produce between 1 to 2 liters of saliva per day. Mutliply that by 365 days and multiply again by the average lifespan of 80 years, that's 50,000 liters! That's enough to fill a swimming pool or two! 🦷💧

Sounds like a whole lot right? But why do we need so much saliva? What does it do?
