✨ 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗲 ✨

Sometimes, the signs of a fractured tooth can be subtle. In this case, a 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁 was visible on the X-ray, together with the patient's history of 𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻.

💡𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱?
➡️ A fracture extending into the root can compromise the tooth's ability to function normally.
➡️ Cracks can allow bacteria to enter deeper into the tooth and surrounding tissues.
➡️ When extraction may be the best option to prevent ongoing pain and complications.

In this case, the fracture was causing persistent dull, throbbing pain. Since the tooth could no longer be predictably saved and the patient wanted relief from the discomfort, extraction was chosen as the most appropriate treatment. 🦷

At Little Big Smiles Dental Clinic, we look at the whole picture—clinical symptoms, examination findings, X-rays, and the patient’s concerns and preferences—to choose the most appropriate treatment for each tooth.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹… 👀

“My child says it hurts.”
“I noticed a hole.”
“There’s a black spot on the tooth.”

But what if we caught it earlier?

Some dental problems may not cause pain or look obvious at first. Regular dental check-ups allow us to monitor your child’s growing smile, detect concerns early, and focus on prevention before small problems become bigger ones.

Because when it comes to little smiles, 𝘄𝗲’𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿. 🛡️

We love having these books around because sometimes, a simple story can make dental concepts feel more familiar, fun, and less intimidating.

And who knows? Maybe the next story your little one picks up will be their first step toward becoming more comfortable with the dentist. 😊

📅 Ready for your little one's own dental story to begin? We'd love to see you at Little Big Smiles Dental Clinic! Book your appointment hassle-free by sending us a DM, scanning the QR code or accessing the link in bio. Let’s build happy dental habits together.

✨ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗔 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 ✨

When decay affects several surfaces of a baby tooth, the remaining tooth structure may not be able to hold a filling. In selected cases, a zirconia crown may provide the coverage and long term protection needed for the tooth.

For this front tooth, a 𝘇𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 was used to restore the tooth's shape, function, and appearance while protecting the remaining tooth structure.

💡𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮 𝘇𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱?
➡️ It provides full coverage for a tooth weakened by extensive decay.
➡️ It offers a strong and durable restoration.
➡️ Its tooth-colored appearance makes it a natural-looking option, especially for front teeth.

Not every cavity needs a crown—and not every cavity is suitable for a simple filling. The appropriate treatment depends on the extent of decay, the amount of healthy tooth structure remaining, and the individual needs of the child.

At Little Big Smiles Dental Clinic, every treatment is thoughtfully chosen based on your child’s individual needs and what will best protect their smile for the years ahead.

📅 Take the first "little" step toward a BIG transformation! Send us a DM, click the link on bio or scan the QR code to book your child's consultation today and learn which treatment is right for their smile.

✨ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗔 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗔 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 ✨

This patient came to our clinic with a history of intense tooth pain a few days prior to consultation. The affected lower molar had a previous history of a deep cavity that had already been restored with a filling and was under observation.

💡𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹?
➡️ A deep cavity may have already caused irreversible damage to the tooth's nerve before the filling was placed.
➡️ Symptoms don't always appear immediately—some teeth can become painful weeks, months, or even years later.
➡️ Root canal treatment relieves pain while allowing the natural tooth to be saved whenever possible.

At Little Big Smiles Dental Clinic, our goal is always to save your natural teeth whenever possible through timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

"𝗜𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻." 👀🦷

Sometimes it is—but sometimes, there's more happening beneath the surface.

In this case, what looked like a small dark shadow without an obvious hole turned out to be a deeper cavity hidden beneath the enamel. A dental x-ray helped reveal what couldn't be seen during the visual examination alone.

Not every cavity causes pain or is easy to spot. That's why regular dental check-ups are important—they help us detect problems early, often before they become bigger concerns.
