Behavior Skills Training for Parents & Caregivers — Session 1 (May 14, 2026)
Speaker: Maricel Cabildo, LPT, BCBA, LBA
Yesterday we kicked off Session 1 of our Behavior Skills Training for Parents & Caregivers! This marks the beginning of an important journey: equipping parents with practical skills for parent-led interventions at home.
At CSN Center, our goal is to empower families by building parents’ confidence and capacity. After a child’s diagnosis, many caregivers ask, “What comes next?” This training answers that question with hands-on strategies, a mindset shift from worry to action, and clear steps parents can use right away.
Highlights from Session 1:
- Introduction to ABA and parent-led intervention principles
- Practical techniques you can practice at home
- Emphasis on mindset change — from feeling stuck to “leveling up” as a parent
- Supportive space for questions and peer learning
Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who joined and took the first step toward stronger skills and greater confidence. We’re excited to continue this series — more tools, practice, and support are coming in the next sessions.
