Early this morning, when you wake up, do you know what your thoughts are? What do you think about?
What you think matters a lot because everything starts in the mind.
Alam n'yo ba na ang ating minds controls everything else about us. Ang ating iniisip ay may impluwesiya sa ating damdamin. Ang ating nararamdaman ay may epekto sa ating mga ikinikilos.
Kaya, napakahalaga ng mga bagay na ating iniisip. To be a responsible person, dapat nating kontrolin ang ating isip.
Pero, bago kayo mabahala sa aking mga sinasabi, let me relieve you of a little false guilt: Hindi naman kasalanan at hindi tayo responsable sa bawat kaisipang biglang sumasagi (stray thought) sa ating isipan. Ano ba itong "stray thoughts" at ang mga dahilan kung bakit pwedeng bigla na lang pumapasok ang mga ito sa isip natin?
Ang “stray thought,” ay ang mga bagay na ating naiisip dahil sa ating pakikipag-usap ay aksidente nating narinig. Ito rin naman ay dahil sa mga bagay na ating biglang nakita at napanood. Dahil sa mga basura o kalat na inilalagay ng diablo sa ating isip at marami pang iba.
Ang ating individual responsibility ay kung papaano natin dini-deal ang mga stray thoughts na ito.
Meron ngang nagsabi na:"Hindi mo mapipigilang lumipad ang ibon sa ibabaw ng iyong ulunan, pero magagawa mong pigilan na gumawa sila ng kanilang pugad sa iyong ulunan. Ibig sabihin nito, God will hold us accountable for what we allow to enter and store in our minds.
Tunay na nakakabahala, kapag hindi natin sinasala ang ating pinapanood na programa sa tv, sa movie house, o sa internet man. Isama pa natin dito ang mga napapanood ng ating mga anak, that we allow them to watch without our guidance even though the restriction says that they need parental guidance (Rated: PG).
To be honest, may mga followers of Jesus spend their time watching j***y (basura) shows and listening to j***y programs sa tv o sa internet man. We pay good money to see behavioral actions that violate social norms as entertainment.
Ang katwiran ng iba na nanunood ng mga ito, kapag tinanong mo kung ano ang dating nito sa kanila, ang sabi nila, “Wala lang!” Kapag nanonood sila ng mga iyon ay hindi naman daw nakakaapekto sa kanila ang mga iyon.
But the truth is, hindi iyon totoo!
May pag-aaral na ginawa ang mga scientist tungkol dito. Scientists have done study after study that says you never really forget any scene you see. Even if we don’t consciously recall the scene, that idea will come right back to your mind, in living color, when something else stimulates the thought.
Sa madaling salita, “Garbage in, garbage out.” What you put into your mind will inevitably bear fruit in your behavior and beliefs.
Sa totoo lang, kapag ang mga basurang information, news, entertainment does not bother us anymore, ito’y warning sign na you already passed the threshold. Ibig sabihin, pumasok ka na sa pintuan na hindi mo na ito makontrol.
Don’t be surprised by what I am saying, “that one of Satan’s greatest tricks for attracting us to sinful lifestyles is comedy.”
Ito ang dahilan bakit sa television, pelikula, at iba pang mga palabas, behavior actions that violate social norms always starts in a comedic situation. At natatawa tayo, nag-eenjoy tayo, nae-entertain tayo, kahit batid natin na sa liwanag ng Biblical at Godly moral principles ay hindi ito acceptable. Remember, ang sabi ng Bible sa 1 John 3:4, “Sin is the transgression of God’s principle.” If Satan can get us laughing at something that is sinful, we have already lost the battle.
Ang kasalanan ay hindi nagpapasaya sa atin. Sin is not funny.
* It's because of sin that Jesus died on the cross.
What are you filling your mind with?
Instead of filling our minds with garbage, why don’t we follow what Apostle Paul said to the Christ-loving Christians in Philippi. He said, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:8-9)

Our DearLoving and Forgiving God, to whom every heart is open, and every will speaks, and from whom no secrets are hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our minds, so that we may gain victory over the enemy’s way of putting garbage into our minds by what we watch and see.
Help us to be wise in whatever we enter our minds. May we always remember that we are responsible and accountable to you oh God, for what we allow to enter and store in our minds. Help us to glorify your name through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. In the Mighty name of Jesus, we pray, amen. 🙏🙏🙏
