According to the latest 2018 National Survey on Oral Health in the Philippines, the national prevalence of dental caries across all age groups was found to be 73%, and about half of the population (50%) are afflicted with periodontal condition. Overall, Philippines ranked THIRD in having the highest XDMFT (severe tooth decay!) among 12 years old ( closely behind Indonesia and Timor-Liste) in the Western Pacific Region. Japan and Singapore had the lowest XDMFT at 0.2 and 0.6 respectively.

ORAL HEALTH IS WEALTH. It’s the gateway towards overall health and well being. If you have any of the following symptoms: (1) bleeding gums; (2) bad breath; (3) toothache; (4) loose teeth; (5) trouble swallowing; (6) white or red patch or ulcer that does not heal…. GO TO A DENTIST THAT YOU CAN TRUST (dental home) and practice ORAL HEALTH SELF-CARE. Love thy oral health. :-)
