✨𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝘿𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙚𝘀 (𝙉𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙉𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙖)

This patient presented with a 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘦s. Upon evaluation and imaging, we confirmed that the tooth was 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝗮𝘄, close to the 𝙣𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣.

🔍 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:
• Impacted canines positioned high in the bone
• Close proximity to the nasal floor
• Not erupting into its proper position

🧠 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆:
Before surgery, we carefully studied a CBCT (3D scan) to accurately assess the exact position of the teeth and its relation to nearby structures. This allows for a safer and more precise approach.

🛠️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱:
• Careful surgical access to the area
• Guided bone removal based on CBCT findings
• Atraumatic extraction of the impacted canine
• 2D Xray allowed us to see the complete and safe removal which made the patient worry-free
• Bone grafting to regenerate the empty space where the impacted teeth came from

Cases like this require more than just a standard X-ray. 3D imaging helped us minimize risks and allowed a faster, safer removal; even in a complex case.

Not all mouth ulcers are random.

Sometimes the 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 squeezed into a 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹. When this happens, a 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 can constantly 𝘳𝘶𝘣 against the soft tissue 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙚 behind it that heals, then comes back again.

This repeated irritation makes the area sensitive and painful, especially when eating or speaking.

Even if the ulcer improves with ointments or rest, the cycle often repeats because the source of trauma is still there.

The 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is not just treating the ulcer but 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁. In many cases taking out the problematic wisdom tooth allows the tissue to fully heal and prevents future episodes.

If your singaw keeps returning in the same spot it may not be random. It could be a sign of constant friction that needs a permanent solution.

This is an impacted wisdom tooth 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙚 and closely related to the 𝙢𝙖𝙭𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙨.

Despite the depth, this was 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀.

Cases like this are not routine.

They rely on:
• Accurate reading of anatomy
• Strategic bone management
• Controlled, efficient movements within tight surgical space

In practice, this level of efficiency and control is not commonly encountered, especially with fully bony upper impactions.

The 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 was adjusted by 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 modifying the 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘦, 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘳 of the 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 & 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙨.

✅ Gap closed just enough to keep it natural
✅ No bulky or overly wide front teeth
✅ Whiter, but still natural. No chiclet look
✅ Shape refined to match her smile
✅ Balanced result that does not look obvious

A tooth with 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 that did not resolve after root canal therapy was managed with 𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆 to remove the source of infection.

The tooth had developed intrinsic discoloration as a result of pulpal necrosis and the infectious process.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 was performed, followed by a 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to restore the natural color and form of the tooth. 🦷
