A subtle smile transformation with a big impact 😁

Peg laterals are a naturally occurring anatomical variation where the lateral incisors erupt small, narrow, and peg-shaped. Generally, these teeth are healthy, and patients’ main concerns are usually regarding the peg laterals’ appearance.

This patient visited for a consultation regarding her peg laterals prior to the removal of her braces (done at another clinic.) After thorough inspection and discussion, Emax veneers were deemed the best choice for her case. We also did gum lifting on the teeth to further enhance the overall appearance. In just 2 visits, we completed this smile transformation 😊

REVISION CASE: Before & After ✨

This patient came to me, seeking a solution to a persistent dental problem that she had: a newly installed acrylic crown that keeps coming off, and composite bonding that felt bulky.

She transferred to after expressing dissatisfaction with the services rendered at another clinic. After a thorough examination and treatment planning, we went with a porcelain fused to zirconia crown to replace the old acrylic crown, and an Emax veneer directly adjacent to it. To balance out the smile, we also placed 4 units of direct composite veneers.

At her one month recall, the patient was happy to report that the crown stayed intact and that she was able to smile confidently again ◡̈
