An oral mucocele is a benign, mucus-filled cyst that forms inside the mouth. These cysts are generally painless and appear as smooth, round bumps. Most oral mucoceles result from trauma, like accidentally biting your lip. Treatment is usually unnecessary as the cyst often resolves on its own. However, if the cyst is large or causes discomfort, a healthcare provider can remove it.

What is Molar Uprighting?

Molar uprighting is a process whereby a tilted molar is corrected through an orthodontic procedure. Molars are the large teeth located in the back part of the mouth. These are the main teeth used for grinding up food during the chewing process and are therefore very important.

In this case instead of removing the impacted third molar we opt to remove the severely decayed first molar, we moved the second and then eventually exposed the third molar. We used the Memory Titanol Spring for uprighting molars from Ordent.
