He came in wanting more than just straighter teeth ✨

One of his biggest concerns was the noticeable canting (slanted smile), which made him feel that his face looked asymmetrical. He also experienced TMJ clicking, adding to his discomfort.

Using our Synergy Braces with straight wire low friction (SWLF) brackets, we carefully planned his orthodontic treatment to improve his smile and bite.

In just 8 adjustments, we’ve already achieved a significant correction of the smile cant and as a positive development, the patient also reported that his TMJ clicking has resolved 🙌🏼

Every orthodontic case is unique. While correcting the bite may coincide with improvements in TMJ symptoms for some patients, results can vary from person to person.

At 8 years old, this young patient is already in the mixed dentition stage, where baby teeth and permanent teeth are present together. We can already see soft deposits building up on both.

Remember: the brushing habits developed on baby teeth are often the same habits carried over to permanent teeth. If plaque is left behind now, those new permanent teeth may face the same challenges later.
