🦷 Baby teeth matter more than you think! ✨

At 8 years old, this young patient is already in the mixed dentition stage, where baby teeth and permanent teeth are present together. We can already see soft deposits building up on both.

Remember: the brushing habits developed on baby teeth are often the same habits carried over to permanent teeth. If plaque is left behind now, those new permanent teeth may face the same challenges later.

Healthy baby teeth help build healthy permanent teeth habits. Start young, brush well, and make every tooth count! 🪥💙

Using the tell-show-do technique, we first explained proper brushing, demonstrated it, and then let our little patient take over. The result? A confident kid who can brush independently! 👏🏼

Patient came in with moldable false teeth placed on his upper four front teeth to cover the cavities because he felt conscious about his smile. While it temporarily hid the damage, it still looked unnatural and the teeth remained very sensitive.

The material was extremely difficult to remove since it had already gotten tightly stuck onto the teeth, making the restoration process more challenging. It was also very hard and had already started slightly deforming and pushing back the gum papilla in between the teeth.

After careful removal and proper restoration, we were able to restore a cleaner, more natural-looking smile again ✨

Temporary fixes may seem convenient, but they can sometimes create bigger problems and make proper treatment more difficult later on. Thankfully, we were still able to achieve a beautiful outcome. Thank you for trusting Atelier Dental 💛
