Many people think braces are just about "straightening" teeth, but for our patients with a Class III Malocclusion (Underbite), it’s about reconstructing the entire bite relationship.

​In the "Before" photo, you can see the lower teeth sitting ahead of the upper teeth. This can cause uneven wear, jaw discomfort, and difficulty chewing.

Not All Surgical Extractions Are Wisdom Teeth 🦷

Many patients think that only wisdom teeth require surgical removal but that’s not always the case.

In this case, the tooth was causing pain and had a very large cavity. The decay had progressed so much that the tooth structure was severely weakened. During extraction, the tooth did not budge. This happens when the roots are deeply anchored or the crown breaks due to extensive decay. To safely remove the tooth without damaging the surrounding bone, we had to section the tooth, cutting it into parts and removing the roots one by one.

✨ Regular 6 month dental checkups are very important. Early cavities are easier, less painful, and less costly to treat. When decay is left untreated, it can spread silently and eventually lead to complex procedures like surgical extraction.

📌 Prevention is always better than cure.
