DrWins Dental Clinic supports the Philippine National Nutrition Council in the celebration of 48th Nutrition Month with a theme: "New Normal na Nutrisyon, Sama-samang Gawan ng Solusyon!"

National Nutrition Month is held every July as declared in the Presidential Decree 491, in 1974. This is to create greater awareness on the importance of nutrition among Filipinos. The law mandates the Philippine National Nutrition Council to coordinate and lead the nationwide campaign.

TRIVIA: Dr. Juan Salcedo Jr. is considered as the Father of Nutrition in the Philippines. He developed "Enriched Rice", a rice variety fortified with vitamin B1, which helps prevent beriberi. He was a professor of Physiology and Biochemistry in the University of the Philippines. He is a former Secretary of Department of Health (1950-1954). He became the first Filipino elected as President of the WHO World Health Assembly.
