Temporary teeth is a important as the permanent ones. 🦷🤍

"Okay lang yan mapapalitan pa naman yan"

Nursing Bottle Caries
-nangyayari ito kapag napabayaan ang mga bata na may bottled milk sa bibig tuwing natutulog
-hindi nalilinis ang mga ngipin ng mga toddler or babies after uminom ng bottled (formula) milk.

Pwede ito mag resulta ng maagang pagkasira ng mga (baby teeth) ngipin:

-Pag maagang mabunot ang baby tooth, pwedeng maligaw ang mga permanent teeth na magreresulta ng sungki or impacted tooth.

- Maari din magresulta sa problema sa kagat ng bata na pwedeng madala hanggang sa pagtanda.

-mataas din ang risks na magkaroon ng infection ang mga ngipin, na magiging dahilan na mapapaaga ang mga bata sa paginom ng antibiotics.

-pwede din itong pagsimulan ng tukso dahil sa itsura ng mga ngipin.

Kaya panatilihin natin na nalilinis ang mga ngipin ng ating mga anak para maiwasan ang ganitong problema sa ngipin.

Habang bata pa, Ipakonsulta na sa dentista ang kanilang mga ngipin

wag gawing panakot ang mga dentista.

“Wala pa namang masakit, di muna ako pupunta sa dentista.”
“Wala pa namang butas, okay pa ’yan.”

Pero… are you sure? Kasi ang cavities, parang ninja, tahimik pero deadly. ‘Di agad nagpaparamdam… tapos booogsh! Malalim na pala sa ilalim.

Wag hintayin na magtampo ang ngipin mo bago ka magpatingin. Mas masaya ang check-up kaysa bunot, promise. 😅

🦠Cavities Can Spread Mouth to Mouth.

Most people think cavities come only from sugar — but the real cause is bacteria. And here’s the surprising part: those bacteria can spread from one mouth to another.

Everyday habits like kissing, tasting from the same spoon, or even sharing a straw can transfer Streptococcus mutans — the main bacteria behind cavities. Once inside a new mouth, they stick to teeth, thrive on sugar, and release acids that slowly eat away enamel.

👶 Children are especially at risk. Their developing teeth are softer, making it easier for these bacteria to settle and trigger early decay. Parents with untreated tooth decay often see their kids face the same problem.

😬 In adults, bacteria may spread too, but strong defenses like daily brushing, flossing, low sugar intake, and regular checkups can keep them from causing damage. The transfer may happen — but disease doesn’t stand a chance in a protected mouth.

“Doc, may tigyawat ako sa gilagid?!?!”

-Ang tawag dyan ay Fistula. Karaniwang matatagpuan ang “pimple” sa gilagid/ ngala-ngala, pero hindi yan acne. Ibig lang sabihin may nana sa ngipin mo, infected and ngipin mo. 🦠

Kung maalat din ang nalalasahan mo, or may kakaiba sa panlasa mo, malamang infected ang tooth mo.

“Doc pwede pa ba ipasta?”

Hindi na po. Kasi parang naglagay ka lang ng plaster sa sugat na may nana sa loob, hindi gagaling.

“Doc di naman po nasakit pwede pa ba ipasta?” Hindi na nga po mæm. RCT or bunot lang ang solusyon. 🩺

Treatment for this:

1. Root Canal

“Doc di ba nakaka cancer ang root canal?” - kakatiktok mo yan! Walang scientific proof na root canal causes cancer. In fact, nakakatulong pa nga ang RCT kasi tinatanggal ang infection na pwedeng magdulot ng mas malalang sakit.

2. Bunot
Basta make sure na after bunutan ireplace ang missing tooth by means of pustiso or fixed bridge o pwede ring implant.

Kung may fistula ka na, ibig sabihin matagal nang may infection. Hindi solusyon ang pasta. To avoid problems like this, make sure to visit your licensed dentist. Yun lang, byeeee~ 🦷
