Here are two clinic transformations I recently completed:
🦷 Case 1: Correcting a "Cosmetic Restoration Gone Wrong"
This patient came to me with a compromised lower arch. A previous provider had simply bulked up the composite resin only around the embrasure spaces to hide gaps and "black triangles." Because these areas were poorly contoured and unpolished, they developed severe black stains that could not be removed by home brushing or regular dental cleanings.
The Solution: I replaced the faulty restorations with properly contoured direct composite veneers. This not only eliminated the stubborn black stains but also corrected a twisted lower left lateral incisor and restored the patient’s abraded, worn-down incisal edges.
🦷 Case 2: Fixing a Lower Diastema Relapse
After completing orthodontic treatment in the past, this patient experienced a relapse, causing a noticeable gap (diastema) to open back up between her two lower central incisors.
Understandably, she did not want to go through a second round of braces.
The Solution: Direct composite veneers closed the gap seamlessly, giving her a permanent, uniform look without the need for wires or brackets.
Both these patients left the clinic smiling freely and confidently once again!
