Timbog ang isang 22-anyos na babae sa entrapment operation ng Iloilo City Cyber Response Team ng PNP Anti Cybercrime Group sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Dental Association sa Jaro, Iloilo City.

Ayon sa PNP-ACG, nadiskubre sa cyber patrolling ang Facebook post nito na nag-aalok siya DIY dental braces sa P3,000 at brace removal sa P1,500, bukod sa tooth whitening at dentures, na ginagawa umano sa home service o sa isang makeup clinic sa loob ng kaniyang bahay.

Ayon sa imbestigasyon, wala umanong dental education, training o lisensya ang suspek at natutunan lamang ang mga procedure sa online videos.

Nahaharap ang suspek sa paglabag sa RA 9484 o Philippine Dental Act, in relation to RA 10175 o Cybercrime Prevention Act.

Sumailalim siya sa inquest proceedings at nakapagpiyansa ng P30,000.

Paalala ng ACG, i-verify muna ang lisensya ng dentista at legitimacy ng clinic at huwag magpalagay ng braces o magpagawa ng dental procedure sa mga hindi lisensyadong practitioner.
