Tooth Decay Dangers: Can it Kill You?

Being a Doctor is not only work but a devotion. Thus, my mission is to spread oral health awareness! 😷

Tooth decay can lead to infections that can spread to the other parts of the body, it can increase your risk of heart disease and it can weaken your immune system.

If left untreated for too long and allowed to progress to advanced stages, tooth decay can be THAT dangerous and YES it CAN actually KILL You.

Prevention Is the Answer! ❤️

SHOULD YOU BRUSH YOUR TEETH RIGHT AFTER EATING OR DRINKING?

•Brushing immediately after consuming something acidic can damage the enamel layer of the tooth.

•Rinsing your mouth vigorously with water after eating or drinking can help remove any stain-causing residue, and it can help reset the pH levels in your mouth to protect your enamel.

•If you still prefer to brush your teeth after eating or drinking, it's best to wait at least 30 minutes after rinsing your mouth with water.
