Save a knocked out tooth with a glass of milk!
When immediate replantation is not feasible, one of the storage mediums recommended for an avulsed tooth is cow’s milk. It preserves the cells on the tooth’s root surface and it’s relatively free from bacteria. It is also more commonly available than Hanks' Balanced Salt Solution (HBSS).
Seek immediate dental care when this happens.
In the case of traumatic injury to the primary dentition, an avulsed primary tooth should not be replanted as the potential for damage to the developing tooth germ is very high.
