Completed a Class I restoration on tooth #37 using a combination of Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) and composite resin.

The patient initially presented with moderate to severe sensitivity involving tooth #37 and originally wanted to have the tooth extracted. A panoramic radiograph suggested an inadequate previous restoration with possible microleakage, which may have contributed to the patient’s symptoms.

The old restoration was carefully removed, and the cavity was thoroughly cleaned before placing the new restoration.

After the restoration, the patient reported that the sensitivity had resolved and was relieved of the discomfort.

However, tooth #37 remains under observation due to the depth and extent of the caries and the size of the existing cavity.
