So I would like to expose a situation. If your children (or grandchildren) don’t learn to play with children with special needs at school, maybe you should spend 10 minutes tonight explaining it to them. Because, although they don't currently live with these children at school, they will find them in their lives for sure. In light of recent events regarding the exclusion of a child with autism from attending a school trip and a child with Down Syndrome being expelled from dance class because she couldn't keep up with it, I feel the need to share this. There are boys and girls that no one invites to birthday parties. There are special children who want to be part of a team but are not selected because it's more important to win than to include these children. Kids with special needs aren't weird, they just want what everyone wants: to be accepted!
Can I ask a question? Is there anyone willing to copy and paste this post on their wall without sharing it, like I did, for all the special children out there? Please teach your children to be kind to these children! Everyone needs love and kindness. This includes young adults with special needs/disabilities.

High maternal stress in late pregnancy may influence when a baby’s first teeth erupt.

Recent findings suggest that elevated cortisol levels in expectant mothers are associated with earlier eruption of primary teeth. Infants born to mothers with the highest reported stress levels were found to have a greater number of erupted teeth by six months of age compared to those exposed to lower stress levels.

The researchers propose that prenatal stress may alter fetal developmental timing, potentially accelerating biological processes such as bone growth and tooth formation.

Importantly, earlier tooth eruption could represent a measurable biological marker of in-utero stress exposure and may help identify children who could be at increased risk for stress-related health outcomes later in life.

These observations were reported by investigators at the University of Rochester Medical Center, in collaboration with dental researchers affiliated with the American Dental Association.

Today, on the first day of National Oral Health Month, the Philippine Pediatric Dental Society, Inc., launches its
"CLEAN AFTER FEEDING" Campaign towards NGITING BULILIT 3-20!

Clean After Feeding is a call to action for parents, caregivers, and communities to protect children's smiles from the very start!

This oral health initiative promotes the simple but powerful habit of cleaning a child's mouth after every feeding, helping to prevent early childhood tooth decay and ensuring children reach the milestone of 20 HEALTHY BABY TEETH BY AGE 3.

By starting oral care early--before problems begin--we can build lifelong habits that support proper nutrition, speech development, and overall well-being.

Clean After Feeding empowers families and communities because every child deserves a healthy smile and a strong foundation for a healthy future.

Join us as we aspire for all Filipino children to have 20 healthy baby teeth by age 3!

Dental X-rays are not taken randomly or without purpose. They help dentists see problems that cannot be detected by a visual examination alone. Many dental issues develop silently, without pain or obvious signs.

X-rays allow dentists to detect hidden tooth decay between teeth, identify bone loss caused by gum disease, and find decay under existing fillings or crowns. These areas are impossible to evaluate accurately without imaging.

They also help detect infections at the tip of the tooth root and provide a complete view of the teeth and jawbone before dental procedures. This ensures treatments are planned correctly and safely.

Regarding safety, modern dental X-rays use very low radiation levels. Digital X-ray technology, protective lead aprons, and strict guidelines make the exposure minimal and safe.

For most patients, the benefit of early detection and prevention far outweighs the extremely small risk. Dental X-rays remain a safe and essential part of maintaining long-term oral and overall health.
