Post Operative Care after Surgical Removal of Wisdom tooth.

Immediate Care (First 24 Hours)
Bleeding: Bite firmly on gauze for 30-60 mins, replacing as needed; some oozing is normal, but avoid spitting or rinsing.
Pain/Swelling: Take prescribed pain meds before numbness wears off; use ice packs (20 mins on, 20 mins off) on your cheeks.
Activity: Rest completely; elevate your head with pillows when sitting or sleeping.
Food/Drink: Stick to soft, cool foods (yogurt, applesauce, soup); drink plenty of water; avoid straws, hot drinks, alcohol, caffeine, and carbonated drinks.
