Flossing may help protect more than just your teeth.

Most people think flossing is simply about preventing cavities or keeping their gums from bleeding. But growing scientific evidence suggests its importance may extend far beyond the mouth.

The narrow spaces between the teeth are some of the easiest places for bacterial biofilm to accumulate. If this plaque is not removed, it can trigger chronic gum inflammation. During everyday activities such as chewing, brushing, or flossing, oral bacteria and their byproducts can occasionally enter the bloodstream—a well-documented phenomenon known as transient bacteremia.

Over the past two decades, researchers have identified links between periodontal disease and numerous systemic conditions, including:

• Respiratory diseases

Scientists have now reported associations between periodontal disease and more than 50 systemic conditions, reinforcing the growing understanding that oral health and overall health are closely connected.

Flossing helps remove bacterial biofilm from areas a toothbrush cannot reach. By reducing plaque accumulation and supporting healthier gums, it may also help reduce the body's repeated exposure to harmful oral bacteria and inflammatory molecules.

While flossing is not a cure or guarantee against disease, it is one of the simplest daily habits that supports both oral health and overall well-being.

By Appointment Only: Walk-ins are generally not permitted to ensure a sanitized chair and adequate time for each patient.
Punctuality: Arrive at least 10–15 minutes before your scheduled time to fill out health declaration forms.
Cancellation Notice: Notify the clinic at least 24 hours prior if you need to reschedule to avoid cancellation or penalty fees.

🦠 Infection Control & Hygiene
Footwear Policy: Leave outdoor shoes in designated racks and wear the clinic-provided slippers.
Disinfection: Sanitize your hands upon entry.
PPE & Attire: Wear a face mask at all times in the waiting area. You will be asked to remove it only when the procedure begins. You may also be required to wear a disposable head cap.

🧍 Companion & Privacy Rules
Patient Only Rule: Only the patient with the scheduled appointment is allowed inside the treatment room. Companions must wait in the designated waiting area.
Exceptions: Minors or patients requiring physical assistance may be accompanied by one adult guardian.
No Photography/Recording: To protect privacy, taking photos, audio, or video recordings of staff or procedures is strictly prohibited without explicit consent.
Noise Control: Keep mobile phones on silent and avoid taking loud calls in the waiting and treatment areas.

💰 Payment & Personal Belongings
Valuables: The clinic is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen personal property. Secure bags and loose items in provided storage boxes.
Mode of Payment: Prepare accepted payment methods (cash, GCash, Bank QR payment or HMO) before your treatment concludes.

Commitment fees
To finalize your booking and reserve the dentist's time, we kindly request a 500 pesos commitment deposit. This full amount will be deducted from your total bill on the day of your visit.
