ANNOUNCEMENT:

Clinic will be closed from May 12 to May 19, 2024 in order to give way for the Philippine Dental Association Annual Convention which will be held in Manila. We will be participating on the said event to ensure that our services are of high quality and is up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. Clinic operations will resume on May 20, 2024.

Thumbsucking or sucking on pacifiers helps babies become calm and sleep more easily. It is okay during the first few months, however, when teeth begins to develop major problems may arise. Continous sucking of babies on their thumbs or pacifiers may ruin teeth alignment and may create a need for a costly dental treatment in the future. Though this habit is tolerable during preschool age or younger, parents should be wary when the child begins to develop speech problems and notices calluses on their thumbs for it is about time to help the child and stop the habit.
